Unless you have already whitened your teeth and want a 'top up' clean, the majority of our clients will need three cycles of twenty minutes in one sitting to bring your teeth up to a possible nine shades whiter. If your teeth are heavily stained then you may need two sittings of three cycles performed a week apart.

Procedure
Before whitening takes place we will go through a consultation and assess what colour your teeth are pre whitening.
A cheek retractor is placed into the mouth so we can whiten, when you smile the 'seen' teeth. (The retractor is not uncomfortable as one might think).
Osmo whitening gel is applied to the tooth, the LED light and ultrasonic head is directed at the teeth and remains in place for approximately twenty minutes.
After twenty minutes the gel is rendered inactive and is wiped off and fresh gel is applied. This procedure is performed 3 times, in one sitting.
The retractor is then removed and you will be asked to give your mouth a good rinse with water and we will then assess your new tooth shade.
WHAT WE USE
We use the Polus Advanced Teeth Whitening Accelerator System.
The safe active ingredients not only remove surface stains, but also the stains found deeper inside the teeth. The LED whitening accelerator lamp speeds up the entire process.
PRE-PROCEDURE PREPARATION
For best results, before your whitening procedure, we suggest that up until the day before your whitening appointment, you brush your teeth thoroughly and floss. If you have sensitive teeth use Sensodyne Toothpaste two weeks prior to your whitening.
Prepare to eat white foods (click here to see chart).
Individual's Teeth
It is important for you to understand the outcome differs form person to person.
Over the years you may have experienced a natural build-up of stains on your teeth from coffee, tea, colas, smoking, antibiotics, food, and tartar, (tartar refers to calcified deposits on the teeth), certain minerals, old fillings, tooth nerve damage or trauma that have darkened the natural whiteness of your teeth.
Some people will see dramatic results in one session, others may need another procedures session to achieve desired results. It all depends upon the stain present.
POST-PROCEDURE MAINTENANCE
For 24 hours after the Whitening procedure:
For long lasting results eat a totally "WHITE" diet, that is all white foods and drinks.
- Do not eat or drink dark, staining substances such as: coffee, tea, red wine.
- Do not, or at least reduce smoking cigarettes.
- No lipstick for twenty four hours.
- Do not use coloured toothpaste or mouthwash
- Prior to your teeth whitening, we provide you with an eating guide of "white" foods so that you can prepare (see chart)
To maintain your smile over the long term:
Depending on your diet your whitening can last up to 1-2 years some clients may like a Touch-up procedure each 6-12 months.
- Brush your teeth regularly
- Visit your dentist regularly.
- Minimise consumption of coffee, tea, red wine and other staining and drinks; or drink through a straw.
